The fourth GMA workshop indicated that it would be appropriate to develop a Bayesian Network (BN) model to have a better understanding of the relationship between the different variables influencing the rail network in Croatia. Following on from this recommendation, a Bayesian Network modelling workshop was held in ROD in Dublin on the 18th & 19th May 2016. The aim of the workshop was to demonstrate a proof of concept for the application of a BN modelling method to facilitate a structured approach to the systematic creation of infrastructure failure scenarios for the Croatian rail case study. The workshop was attended by representatives from ROD, Dragados, ETHZ, RCAB and the chairman of the advisory board, Brian Bell.
